Toomorrowland with Luke Vibert + free mix

Wagon Christ’s has a new album out and it is regular buffet of sound. From the man who has perfected the acid disco sound as Kerrier District and hung with the big boys of Drum N Bass as Plug, Luke Vibert returns to Ninja Tune with his familiar stoned tempo of sample and breakbeat madness on his latest release Toomorrow. It’s a familiar place where you can tell the craftsman but the tools are different. Mental samples abound on down tempo groovers and acid still plays a heavy role in the smoke filled alleys. The nod to old school hip hop runs heavy but the break beat melodies make you want to snap your fingers and tap your feet. The album gets a little scatterbrained at times crossing genres at warp speed. But it still a classic worthy of the Wagon Christ fans old and new.
