ok so after a much needed disco nap, we tried to go see Utada, a Japenese popstar but the line was around the block for her album release party and we were hungry, so down to The Guru for another fantastic Indian cuisine experience. Then back to the condo and off to AM Only at the Karu and Y. We got there and it was jumpin, the sound in that club and the lights and everything else was out of this world. First Donald Glaude & Richard Vission were pumping in the NY house style and Donald’s shouts gotta an already crazed crowd jumping, then Joachim Garraud & Robbie Rivera were rockin and Joachim whipped out the keytar and started playing the Robin S Show me love riff and damn if where just weren’t talking about that a few hours before. Really the party there was just getting started and for the real down and dirty (Josh Wink and Steve Bug) you had to be there @ 6am). We wanted to stay but we had go see Audion at the Spectral Losing It party and we were not disappointed. We got there about 3:30a after several wrong turns downtown and quite the unscenic tour. Once inside all was right with the universe when Audion started throwing down. He played a whole set of unreleased tunes, and I tell you the man we know as Matthew Dear has not skipped a beat, he live Audion persona killed it and when 5am came we knew techno was alive and well and living in the front bedroom.
