In Detroit: Movement Festival 2011

Its has started. Jaxlore has touched down in Detroit. I always like to get in a day early and enjoy the local flavor and it was definitely the right decision last night. We kicked off the night at Pulse where Malik Alston and Craig Huckaby threw down some insane house, it was hard to leave but the allure of Paul Woolford was strong. At Motor City Wine we saw the new bottles of Carl Craig’s 20 Anniversary of Planet E bubbly but it didn’t go on sale until Friday night. I’ve always wanted to know what Planet E tastes like. It took a bit to get the sound sorted but when Paul Woolford took the decks people appeared from outta nowhere and he got the tech heads groovin on this side of the pond. It’s a bit chilly in the D but the weather should warm up in time for the festival. Today it’s time for some vinyl shopping and getting out to see the sites. I’ll be checking through out the weekend, but if you want a more up to the minute view check me out on twitter at strangelo_e as we make our way around the 313 for Movement 2011.
