There’s not really anything going on tonight, folks. In case you were asleep in 2012, the consensus among real selectors was that the techno album of the year was Robert Hood’s ‘Motor: Nighttime World 3’. I want to post an interview the techno legend did with Beatport recently so you may catch a glimpse into the world of Hood.
Another quick mention is the blistering assault that is John Digweed ‘Live In London’. 5 hours mixed over 4 CDs (and 6 12″s if you care, which I do) and the result is truly extraordinary. Go deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole and expand on what you heard John do at last year’s show at Plush.
Some WMC parties worth mentioning will be coming up next. Nowza time to go out, lament how cliquish our scene still is and look forward to the Tritonal show coming to Firestone on February 9th.
