And if we’re talking about house, we gotta mention techno kingpin Kenny Larkin. This is a recent interview where the dark comic tells it like it is. By the way, if you’ve never heard his groundbreaking ‘Azimuth’ album on Warp/WaxTrax! [1994], it belongs in everyone’s collection.

You may well know by now, England’s Christmas #1 on the pop charts is a big-ass deal. Pet Shop Boys scored it at least once, if not twice in the 80s. Various holiday songs have as well but it’s now getting a wee bit mad. Our first balzout run for the top spot comes courtesy of our friends Orbital, who are previewing this video in anticipation of the track (‘Christmas Chime’ – a take on their first single and ’89-’90 classic). I guess Jib Jab is directing their videos now, but it’s “wonky” as hell.
