5/27 – So I am an avid fan of !!! also pronounced Chk Chk Chk for the uninitiated. A Warp records mainstay, this disco punk outfit’s last album really knocked it out of the park. They’ve also got a back catalog that will put a hole in your speaker. It’s a shame that with Jazz Fest going on and all the other shows going on this weekend, this show hasn’t gotten exposure it deserves, but fuck it: dance music is best served down and underground. See you there Friday night at Jack Rabbits, doors at 8pm. Oh by the ,way they are opening the night themselves doing covers of Stereolab which in itself is worth the price of admission!

5/29 On Sunday, Pete Bones takes over at Bo’s Summer Sessions alongside a slew of locals including Matthew Scot from Orlando’s Sandwich Bar.

5/29 Sunday night there will be a special fundraising event for Jacksonville’s mainstay Robert Goodman. His daughter has to have a bone transplant and this event will help raise funds for her operation and recovery. Robert with be DJing along with Miguel Alverez and others and it’s sure to be a breakbeat paradise up in Ecliplse that night.
